Mission of Shikshak Kalyan

Mission of Shikshak Kalyan

Our mission is to cultivate harmony and foster a healthy environment not only for government teachers but also for those working in the private and non-government sector. By addressing and minimizing exploitation at various levels, we aim to safeguard the rights and interests of the entire teaching fraternity. Through these efforts, a national platform will be created where teachers can freely express their concerns, share ideas, and contribute towards the overall welfare of the teaching community and students alike.

Our foremost emphasis lies in ensuring quality education at all costs, as we strongly believe that an empowered teacher directly translates into an empowered generation.

Objective & Vision

A. Empowerment at Economic, Social & Educational Levels

Our primary aim is to empower not only teachers but also women, children, and all underprivileged communities by addressing their economic, social, and educational needs. To achieve this, we will:

Conduct panel discussions, seminars, and workshops on social issues directly related to education.

Focus on spreading awareness and understanding of reforms like the New Education Policy (NEP) among all stakeholders including teachers, parents, students, and administrators.

Build platforms that encourage dialogue, exchange of ideas, and collective problem-solving for a better and more inclusive educational ecosystem.

B. Collaboration for Policy Implementation

We aim to actively support and promote government initiatives by becoming a helping hand in the effective implementation of educational policies, especially the New Education Policy.

Collaborate with government bodies, schools, and private institutions to ensure the smooth and practical execution of policies.

Work towards bridging the gap between policymakers and implementers, ensuring that the intended benefits of these policies reach every classroom and every student.

Promote transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in educational reforms.

C. Nurturing Talent & Fostering Self-Reliance (Aatmanirbhar Bharat)

We strongly believe in recognizing and supporting extraordinary talent in every field, especially among our teachers who are the true nation builders. To realize this vision, we will:

Organize skill-oriented and vocational training programs for students to prepare them for the challenges of the modern world.

Encourage innovative teaching methods, entrepreneurship skills, and career-oriented education to align with the goals of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).

Provide a forum for free exchange of ideas and experiences, where teachers, students, and professionals can collaborate, learn, and innovate together.

Recognize and reward exceptional educators and learners who contribute meaningfully to the growth of society.

Sub Objective

A. Housing & Shelter Security

In line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to ensure “Housing for All”, our Samiti will make dedicated efforts to ensure that teachers also receive due care in housing schemes.

Work in close coordination with the Urban Development Ministries of Central and State Governments to facilitate access to affordable housing for teachers.

Advocate for special housing provisions for teachers, recognizing their service to nation-building.

Explore public-private partnerships to create residential facilities and housing colonies for teachers, ensuring safe, affordable, and dignified living.

B. Comprehensive Health Care for Teachers & Families

We recognize that health is central to the well-being of the teaching community. Therefore, we commit to ensuring affordable and lifelong healthcare facilities for teachers and their families.

Government Collaboration

Approach the Ministry of Health to extend lifelong healthcare facilities to teachers and their dependents at CGHS-approved rates.

Equal Care for Private & Government Teachers

Strive to provide comprehensive health benefits for teachers in both government and private sectors, modeled along the lines of the ESI (Employees’ State Insurance) scheme.

Work towards setting up exclusive healthcare tie-ups with hospitals and clinics for teachers’ welfare.

C. Financial Well-being & Fair Salaries

Teachers, especially in private institutions, often face challenges of underpayment and financial insecurity. Our Samiti will actively address this issue by:

Collecting and analyzing data on salaries of teachers in both rural and urban private schools.

Identifying the gaps and causes of low wages, and preparing recommendations to policymakers.

Advocating for fair, transparent, and dignified salary structures, ensuring teachers are paid in proportion to their qualifications, workload, and contribution.

Making efforts to improve the financial condition of teachers through legal, administrative, and policy interventions
